The Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre is looking for a dedicated Physiotherapist committed to supporting Indigenous communities. This position requires working closely with clients, families, and an interdisciplinary team to promote mobility and manage health conditions. A strong emphasis on active rehabilitation techniques and integrating traditional healing practices ensures a supportive care workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for clients • Provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for various health conditions • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary • Build trusting relationships within the Indigenous community • Support community wellness initiatives and outreach programs
Requirements: • Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario • Experience in Indigenous healthcare settings preferred • Strong commitment to cultural safety and inclusion • Valid Ontario driver’s license required
