At the Durham District School Board, your role will center on creating a vibrant learning environment for secondary students. You'll develop engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and build an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued. Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment
• Work with colleagues,
parents, and community for enhanced learning
• Modify teaching methods to accommodate diverse student needs
Requirements:
• Subject qualifications in I/S Social Science and Physical Education
• Valid Ontario teaching certificate in valuable standing
• 1.0 FTE assignment focused on grades 9-12
• Criminal background check required upon hire
• Processing time for external hires can take up to 10 days
