About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Mobile Developer with expertise in both iOS and Android development to join their innovative product team. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to contribute to cutting-edge mobile applications from anywhere within South Africa. You will lead the mobile development effort, mentor junior developers, and oversee the architecture and implementation of high-quality, user-friendly mobile experiences. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a passion for mobile technology, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of native iOS and Android applications.
- Architect robust and scalable mobile solutions, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Mentor and guide a team of mobile developers, fostering best practices and high code quality.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define features and deliver exceptional products.




- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in mobile development and implement them where appropriate.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of qualified mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android).
- Demonstrated experience leading mobile development teams or projects.
- Expertise in Swift/Objective-C for iOS and Kotlin/Java for Android.
- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, RESTful APIs, and mobile architecture patterns.
