As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you'll work collaboratively with a dedicated care team, under the supervision of a Staff Nurse. Your role will include providing safe and thorough basic care while promoting resident well-being. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience and a robust understanding of personal care procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bath and assist residents with personal hygiene
• Safely transfer residents using lifts and equipment
• Aid with feeding according to care plans
• Provide routine treatments as directed by Staff Nurse
• Accompany residents to dining, activities, and therapy
Requirements:
• Minimum one year experience in continuing care
• Completion of recognized PCA/HCA Certificate
• Active registration with CLHA
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
• Post-secondary education is a plus
