Become a key member of the Town of Newmarket's Recreation and Culture Team as a Skate Park Instructor. This role offers the chance to inspire the community through skateboarding education!
As a Skate Park Instructor, you will develop and deliver engaging skateboarding lessons for participants of all ages. The position requires the ability to maintain a safe environment while creating lesson plans and tracking the progress of participants. You will play a vital role in reporting achievements and ensuring safety in the park.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and dismantle skate park equipment
• Create and implement lesson plans for participants
• Document and report participant accomplishments
• Maintain participant safety and attendance
• Provide basic first aid and complete incident reports
Requirements:
• 2-4 years of experience in skateboarding or scootering
• Previous instruction experience is a plus
• Solid interpersonal skills with participants and guardians
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification required
• Must be available for evening and weekend events
