Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of electrical systems within Northland Power's North American fleet. This position provides a unique opportunity to interact with SCADA/Operations and manage projects with external contractors. Some travel will be required to perform in office evaluations and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain equipment and facility ratings documentation • Assist with protective relay system tasks • Review contractor studies on relay settings • Help drive reliability compliance initiatives • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Requirements: • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or similar • G class driver’s license needed • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint • Understanding of power generation reliability practices • Familiarity with competitive electricity markets in North America
