Join Halton Region as a Relief Dietary Aide, where you'll provide respectful and individualized dietary services in a long-term care setting. This role emphasizes food safety, quality service, and resident engagement.
Working under the Supervisor of Nutrition Services, your key responsibility will be to foster a welcoming environment for residents by understanding their dietary preferences and needs. You will also ensure compliance with food safety regulations and play a vital role in creating a family-like atmosphere. Flexibility is essential as this position may require work during evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a homelike atmosphere through personalized service • Re-thermalize and manage menu items effectively • Oversee food safety and sanitation processes • Clean dining areas and assist with food transportation • Assist in training recent co-workers
Requirements: • Current Food Handler Certificate needed • Relevant experience in health care or hospitality food service • Good communication and teamwork capabilities • Capable of lifting heavy objects, up to 50 lbs • Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
