Covenant Health seeks a dedicated Food Service Worker I for part-time shifts at St. Michael's Health Centre. Focus on nutrition and cleanliness as you support patient meal services and kitchen operations.
In this role, reporting to the NFLES Supervisor, you will help in meal delivery and food packaging per dietary guidelines. Regular duties include dishwashing, cleaning, and ensuring that kitchen supplies are stocked. The position requires good communication skills to relay dietary needs from units to the kitchen for optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Portion and serve food according to dietary protocols
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and equipment
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff




• Perform scheduled cleaning and stocking duties
• Follow established safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written
• Robust time management and detail-oriented skills
• Ability to lift and stand for long periods
• Prior experience in a food service environment an asset
