Pet Paradise, a dog and cat open-concept daycare, overnight stay, and grooming facility, has openings for energetic and organized individuals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with dogs and cats and providing exceptional care in a daycare and boarding setting.
- Supervising play between dogs and cats to ensure all interactions are appropriate and safe.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs and cats in the facility.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' behavior and well-being.
- Assessing new dog /cat clients to ensure daycare is appropriate for them.
- Bathing and drying pooches.
- Administering medications (oral and topical, no injections).
- Assisting customers with checking in and out.
- Answering telephone and email inquiries.
- Handling customer payments.
- Clean and maintain daycare and boarding areas, including play areas and restrooms.
- Cleaning up all messes, up to and including urine, feces, and vomit (a strong stomach is a must).
- Must be physically able to handle dogs that can weigh 170lbs.
- Ability to be outdoors during varying types of weather.
- Deep cleaning of the entire facility happens a minimum of twice a day, so must be motivated to maintain cleanliness.
- Other duties as required.
Ideal Candidate traits:
- Must love dogs and cats.
- Be very reliable and consistent.
- Timely attendance.
- Ability to work versatile days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare facility is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with Animal Rescue Institutions is considered an asset.
- Pet Emergency First Aid and CPR is an asset.
- Open availability is considered an asset.

We are open Monday to Friday from 6.30 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Shifts will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
