Must Haves Senior Full Stack software development experience delivering complex healthcare, cloud, integration, or digital health modernization projects. Extensive Java and Spring Boot microservices development experience. Experience designing and developing REST APIs and FHIR APIs. Hands-on experience with Smile CDR implementation and customization. Experience with AWS HealthLake and FHIR repository implementation. Experience developing healthcare interoperability solutions using FHIR R4/R4B, SMART on FHIR, HL7v2, OAuth2/OIDC, and JWT. Experience integrating healthcare applications with Provider Registry, Master Data Management systems, and the EPIC EHR, Meditech and Cerner Experience with Central Intake hubs such as RICOH and Novari Experience implementing advanced provider directory search using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch. Experience with PostgreSQL and healthcare data modelling. Experience using AWS services including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation or CDK. Experience developing secure APIs using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, RBAC, and confidential client authentication. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and support PHSD backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Develop and enhance React-based user interfaces supporting provider search, directory management,



and administration. Design and implement FHIR R4/R4B APIs using Smile CDR and AWS HealthLake. Develop real-time provider data synchronization between PHSD and the Agency master data management platforms. Design and implement integrations with Provider Registry, hospital information systems, and provincial healthcare services. Build scalable healthcare search capabilities using OpenSearch and FHIR search standards. Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs supporting internal and external consuming applications. Implement SMART on FHIR authentication and authorization workflows. Develop secure OAuth2/OIDC authentication and JWT authorization services. Implement healthcare interoperability using HL7v2 and FHIR messaging patterns. Design scalable cloud-native AWS architectures supporting high availability and operational resilience. Develop data transformation, validation, synchronization, and governance services supporting provider, practitioner, organization, healthcare service, and location information. Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code reviews. Support automated testing, CI/CD deployment pipelines, production releases, troubleshooting, and operational support. Produce technical documentation, API specifications, deployment documentation, and knowledge
