As the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, this individual will use their knowledge of machinery, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, machining, and piping to perform functions of project management, design, and technical support as defined by all departments in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.Senior Mechanical Project Engineer are responsible for providing our Red Deer and Northern Alberta locations with equipment and designs that meet company standards and deliver project objectives.Providing technical support and troubleshooting services to maintenance and operations departmentsRecommending and managing capital projectsRemaining current with Interpro Pipe & Steel business, including appropriate level of understanding of product manufacturing processes and applied technologiesWriting project proposals, including business rules, process description, business controls, opportunities, costs, and benefitsWriting requirement specifications, high level design, and architecture specifications for projects and plant processesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with electrical experience, preferredMinimum 10 years of experience managing projects involving equipment, buildings, machinery, process piping, cooling systems, combustion systems, pneumatics, power distribution, PLCs, drives, and other systems in a heavy manufacturing environment; steel experience,strongly preferredDemonstrated experience in bringing large projects to completion by creating collaboration between operating processes, project objectives, and unifying efforts of management,
