Extendicare is seeking a Recreation Aide for casual shifts, including weekends and evenings. In this position, you will engage with residents, transport them, and monitor their wellbeing during activities. Your collaboration with the Program Manager will help develop tailored recreational programs that address assessed needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and evaluate recreation programs based on resident needs
• Set up and clean activity areas for programs
• Transport residents to and from scheduled activities
• Monitor resident behavior and report changes to staff




• Maintain documentation and resident records
Requirements:
• Completion of Recreation or Gerontology Degree/Diploma
• Experience working with geriatric populations
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Minimum one year experience in Long Term Care preferred
