Join the University of British Columbia as a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in U-Pb Geochronology. This role focuses on high-precision geochronology and fundamental Earth science applications.

The Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at UBC seeks an innovative geochronologist to advance foundational Earth sciences questions. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in U-Pb petrochronology and a highly productive research background. You will develop a solid, externally funded research program while supervising both graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.

Key Responsibilities:



• Develop an internationally recognized research program in geochronology • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Earth sciences • Maintain and enhance research facilities like PCIGR • Engage in departmental and professional services

Requirements: • Ph.D. in Earth Sciences or a related field • Proven excellence in U-Pb geochronology • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals • Ability to attract external funding • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
