Support Student Housing and Hospitality Services at UBC as a full time Housing and Hospitality Assistant. Engage in varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, while promoting excellent customer service and financial accuracy.
This position, reporting to the Front Office Manager, is central to 24/7 operations at the Student Housing front desk. You will engage with all departments within SHHS, acting as the first point of contact. Responsibilities include handling financial transactions and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process housing fees and student meal plan transactions
• Reconcile and report cash and credit transactions
• Investigate and correct financial discrepancies




• Balance department cash floats regularly
• Provide exceptional customer service tailored to guest needs
Requirements:
• Experience in hospitality or customer service
• Strong attention to financial detail and accuracy
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights
• Effective communication and customer interaction skills
• Capacity for training seasonal BCGEU staff
