Job Summary
We're hiring an experienced Skilled Carpenter for our residential job sites. You'll report to the Site Foreman and work as part of a core crew alongside the Foreman and a Construction Labourer. This role isn't a supervisory position — the Foreman directs the crew — but it does require a thorough, hands-on understanding of how a building actually comes together, so you can be handed a task and get it done right without needing to be walked through it step by step.
What You'll Do
Frame interior walls to plan, accurately and efficiently
Frame roof systems
Read and work from construction drawings and site plans with a robust degree of independence
Take on assigned framing and carpentry tasks and complete them without close supervision
Coordinate material and equipment needs with the Site Foreman
Check your own work for quality and code compliance before it moves to the next stage
Enforce safety procedures and PPE use on site
Flag material or site issues to the Foreman before they become delays
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of hands-on residential construction experience
Proven ability to frame interior walls and roof systems independently
Solid ability to read and work from construction drawings
Able to take on a task from the Foreman and execute it without needing close supervision
Reliable transportation to job sites
Valid driver's licence
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
Consistent daytime hours, no rotating shifts
