This 3.5-year PhD project, commencing in October 2026, is primarily designed for Home rate candidates. You will address the complexities of criticality safety associated with HALEU fuels through advanced computational techniques. The project encourages development of detailed models to support future fuel cycle facility design.
Key Responsibilities:
Model criticality scenarios in HALEU processing
Examine impact of materials and conditions on neutron activity
