Duties
Prepare and assemble a variety of deli foods, including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
Handle cash and credit card payments with precision, maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions about food items, and upselling complementary products.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area by following food safety protocols and sanitation standards.




Manage inventory levels by restocking displays and notifying management of low stock or product shortages.
Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.

Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent customer service skills to create a positive shopping experience.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and calculating prices or discounts.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail in food handling and presentation.
Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities in the deli department.
