Parts Specialist

Fast growing heavy duty truck and trailer repair shop is currently looking for Part Specialist.

As a Parts Specialist you will assist with orders, pulling and packaging parts, shipping, receiving and restocking parts as needed. The parts specialist will communicate with recent and existing customers through multiple forms of electronic and direct communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procured parts, materials, and supplies for work orders, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
Managed and processed orders efficiently using inventory management systems
Supported inventory control and maintained up-to-date product knowledge
Inspected incoming shipments for accuracy and damage; handled returns and warranty claims
Maintained records by creating invoices, tracking customer back-orders, and processing repair orders
Monitored and maintained optimal inventory levels through organization, cycle counts, and record updates
Staged parts for ongoing and upcoming jobs, coordinating flow to the shop floor
Collaborated with service staff and technicians to identify required parts and verify stock availability
Tracked back-orders and delays, proactively communicating updates to support scheduling




Sourced non-stock and special-order parts; followed up on orders and notified stakeholders upon receipt
Located alternative suppliers for out-of-stock items and placed urgent/emergency orders when needed
Evaluated supplier performance based on quality, reliability, and delivery timelines
Researched parts using manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams
Performed warehouse duties including stocking and organizing inventory
Maintained a safe and compliant work workplace in all daily operations

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
2+ years of experience in a parts, inventory, or service support role (truck/trailer, heavy equipment, or automotive industry strongly preferred)
Must have previous experience and ability to operate a forklift
Have solid organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, etc.)
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (picking up and delivering parts is required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
