Key Responsibilities
Maintain a visible, qualified presence to deter incidents and support public safety
De-escalate conflicts using verbal skills and safe distance management
Write transparent, timely incident reports and shift logs
Escalate to emergency services and management when required
Follow site post orders, company SOPs, and Ontario security regulations
Minimum Requirements (Ontario Standards)
Applicants must meet the Ontario requirements for Security Guards, including:
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (PSISA) (active and in good standing)
18+ years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada
Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) that meets licensing requirements (typically issued within the required timeframe for licensing/applications)
Completion of Ontario-mandated Security Guard basic training (including required first aid/CPR component for security guard training)
Ability to communicate professionally in English (written & verbal) and complete detailed reports
Must be use of force trained for this position
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work indoors/outdoors in all weather
Reliable transportation to get to assigned sites (preferred for many roles)
Preferred Assets (Not Required, But Strongly Considered)
Current Emergency First Aid/CPR/AED (in-date)
Experience in: concierge/security desk, retail loss prevention, mobile patrol, events, construction, healthcare, shelter/housing, or industrial sites
