Steel Welder/Fabricator
Our client is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Richmond, BC. This company specializes in building advanced, high-end custom yachts and marine vessels, as well as tactical boats. With a reputation for excellence in marine construction and refit, they operate at the cutting edge of the industry.
The Welder/Fabricator plays a key role in fabricating, fitting, and welding aluminum and steel components, ensuring precision and adherence to strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Weld and fabricate aluminum and steel components for custom vessels and marine structures.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans to guide work.
Fit, assemble, and install structural parts with precision and attention to detail.
Operate standard shop tools, fabrication equipment, and welding machinery.
Collaborate with marine engineers, shipwrights, and other trades to ensure quality results.
Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and marine industry standards.
Support vessel assembly on new builds, refits, and specialty projects.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions during fabrication and assembly.
Follow all workplace safety protocols and procedures.
Adapt to varying project demands and deadlines.

Qualifications
Experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a marine, industrial, or custom fabrication environment.
Proficient in TIG welding aluminum.
CWB certification or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
Solid understanding of welding safety practices and industry standards.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Able to lift, carry, and handle heavy materials and equipment.
