Swamper

Batzbuild is looking for a full time Swamper to support our finishing carpenters and painters, handling everything from material deliveries to job site assistance to shop support.

No experience necessary — training is provided, though prior carpentry or painting experience is a plus and reflected in starting pay.

What you'll be doing:
Picking up and delivering materials to job sites in a company vehicle. Assisting finishing carpenters and painters both on-site and in the shop as needed. Between site runs, general shop upkeep — organizing materials and inventory, prepping supplies, and keeping the space clean and orderly.

What you'll need:
A valid BC driver's license and a clean drivers abstract (you'll be driving company vehicles). Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Fluent English, for clear communication on job sites.



A robust work ethic and reliability.

Schedule & pay:
Full-time, typically 35–40 hours per week depending on available work, plus occasional weekends when needed. $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
