Duties
Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques and commercial-grade tools
Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
Sort and organize clean items for effective storage and easy access for kitchen staff
Assist with food handling tasks as needed, supporting food preparation and service teams
Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper sanitation practices are upheld
Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with facility guidelines
Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen setting by performing routine cleaning duties beyond dishwashing
Experience
Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and food handling practices
Familiarity with basic kitchen operations including food preparation and cooking is a plus
