Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Federal Meat QA Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in meat processing facilities. This role involves inspecting meat products, monitoring manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, manufacturing, and quality control, with excellent analysis skills to uphold product integrity and safety.

Duties
Conduct thorough quality inspections of meat products throughout the production process to ensure compliance with federal standards.
Monitor manufacturing processes to identify potential quality issues or safety hazards.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation regulations within the processing environment.
Conduct pre-operation inspections for production start-up on occasion.
Other duties as required.

Skills
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and quality control principles.




SQF Certification is preferred
Must have worked min of 1 year at a CFIA plant.
Excellent analysis skills for interpreting data and identifying trends or issues.
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures specific to the meat processing industry.
Ability to perform exact measurements and detailed visual inspections.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.

This job is a full time position Monday to Friday from 730-4pm with occasional weekends.
