Duties
Assist with planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting crops using appropriate hand tools and equipment
Support irrigation systems setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal water distribution
Perform general gardening tasks such as pruning, mulching, and soil preparation to promote healthy plant growth
Operate basic mechanical tools and machinery with safety and precision for farm upkeep
Carry out heavy lifting tasks involving bags of soil, fertilizers, or harvested produce safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and tools to uphold safety standards across the farm site
Conduct routine inspections of farm infrastructure including fencing, irrigation lines, and equipment for repairs or improvements
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of horticulture principles and gardening techniques preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating farm machinery is advantageous
Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in various tasks
Basic math skills for measuring, estimating quantities, or calculating areas as needed
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
