Assume a key role as a Detention Guard, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in custody. This position offers on-call casual shifts, providing flexibility for your work-life balance. In this position, you will monitor prisoners under RCMP supervision, maintain security protocols, and manage essential documentation. Your attention to detail, discretion, and ability to work independently will contribute to the overall safety of the facility and its operations. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor prisoners regularly and maintain a logbook
Conduct searches and oversee cellblock security
Assist with meal organization and cleanliness
Manage personal effect storage and safety checks
Dispense medications under supervision Requirements:
Occupational First Aid level 1 certification is required
Ability to secure RCMP Reliability Clearance
Solid command of English language required
Physically capable of handling up to 20 kg max
