GeoTerra Surveys is a well-established qualified geomatics services firm located in PEI and Nova Scotia. We are looking for a Survey Technologist with field experience in cadastral surveying in PEI or a PEI Land Surveyor in Training to join our team.
GeoTerra provides a full spectrum of legal, topographic, construction, drone/UAV mapping and bathymetric surveying services including land development and consulting in both rural and urban settings. Our land surveyors provide direct, in-person mentorship and skill development. This position may lead to career advancement for the right individual.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Working in a team setting and individually in both field and office settings
Performing various types of surveys efficiently and accurately, and maintaining concise field notes and sketches
Working in both urban and rural settings, including construction sites, in all types of weather
Ensuring survey equipment and company vehicles are maintained and organized
Adhering to company safety policies
Requirements and Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree from a recognized surveying or Geomatics program
Experience in cadastral field surveying, including condo, and multifaceted developments in PEI
Robust leadership and motivational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think critically, be well organized with attention to detail
Experience researching, reviewing and extracting information from legal plans
Computer and technical competence
Must have a valid Driver’s license
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide mentorship to others
