The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research is looking for a Biospecimen Research Technician I to support the Diagnostic Development team. This one-year temporary position requires experience in tissue processing, molecular extraction, and maintaining laboratory records. You will ensure compliance with quality control measures while collaborating with a dedicated team working towards impactful cancer research. Key Responsibilities:
Manage sample accessioning with laboratory information systems
Execute histological analyses on diverse tissue types




Extract and evaluate DNA/RNA from human samples
Maintain compliance with SOPs and laboratory accreditations
Document findings and maintain accurate records Requirements:
Relevant undergraduate degree required
Proven experience in microtomy and histology
Understanding of SOPs from FFPE and fresh frozen samples
Attention to detail and effective communication skills
