Posting: CSN-UE Closing date: September 10th 2026 Place of Work: 2323,boulvard Daniel Johnson Laval (Québec) H7t 1H8 Status of Position: Full-Time Regular (38.75hours) Salary Scale: $30,45per hour + 15% premium for attraction and retention Schedule: 6:30 amto 2:45pm (Monday to Friday) Fringe Benefits: Four (4) weeks’ annual vacation Two (2) weeks off during the holiday season Special days off to facilitate work-life balance Pension plan and group insurance plan Telemedicine and employee and family assistance program Cell phone and laptop provided by employer Truck provided by employer (under certain conditions) Immediate supervisor: The superintendent of the Material Resources and Transportation Department NATURE OF THE WORK The pipe fitter is responsible for carrying out the inspection, repair, upkeep, conversion and installation of plumbing, heating, oil burner, automatic sprinkler and refrigeration systems. In addition, you will be required to: Repair or replace pipes and install new accessories to upgrade plumbing systems; Connect the domestic piping of air, water, sewer and gas networks to the supply and discharge networks; Unplug sinks, basins, showers,



urinals and toilets; Ensure the proper upkeep of pipes, taps, valves and other accessories; Start up and shut down the plumbing systems in locations open to the public during certain seasons; Pierce orhave openings pierced for floor or wall pipes; bend, cut, ream, thread, install and connect pipes; Carry outa variety of tests for the purpose of determining the system’s resistance to leakage; Install, replace, repair and connect piping systems for steam, hot water heating or gas systems; Coordinate the work of less experienced or nonspecialized workers; If need be, he or she performs any other related duty. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Have the pertinent legal qualifications for the class of employment and two (2) years of relevant experience; Have a basic knowledge of heating systems would be considered an asset; Have a valuable knowledge of spoken French and a functional knowledge of spoken English; Hold a valid driver’s licence (Class 5); Hold the ASP Health and Safety on Construction Sites card; To view the job description as outlined in the classification plan, visit #J-18808-Ljbffr
