CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a Research Coordinator.
We are looking for a highly motivated Research Coordinator for the Nursing Research Centre to support the realization/enactment of the CHEO/CHEO RI/uOttawa Nursing Research Strategy. The research coordinator will have responsibility to coordinate several research studies and projects. This includes managing studies, collecting and analyzing primary data, preparing submissions for the Research Ethics Board (REB), conducting literature searches and summaries, supporting grant applications and publications, liaising with investigators and team members, increasing the visibility of nurse‑led research through internal and external platforms, and contributing to various other research‑related tasks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Nursing Research Scientist:
- Assist with research studies and projects.
- Assist with protocol development.
- Assist with Research Ethics Board (REB) and/or grant submissions and revisions.
- Be responsible for tracking and updating all REBs.
- Assist with data collection and analysis.
- Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant information.
- Develop and administer surveys in REDCap.
- Track publications, conference presentations, awards.
- Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, posters and presentations for conferences.
- Perform various administrative duties related to ongoing research (i.e. process payments in Workday).
- Coordinate, organize, and chair relevant research meetings.
- Prepare social media messages, in collaboration with the CHEO RI communications, related to the activities, output, and impact of the Nursing Research Centre.
- Manage administrative tasks associated with the nursing research internship program in collaboration with the Nursing Research Centre senior administrative assistant and external collaborators (i.e. promotion of program, booking interviews with potential candidates, communications (creating profiles of interns, promoting their projects, annual report, supporting interns, mentors, managers and leads, organizing intern showcase finale across institutions), booking rooms and meetings, troubling shooting technology during meetings, bookingguest speakers, and maintaining the curriculum and resources on SharePoint).
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Nursing Research Centre leads.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- University undergraduate degree in nursing. (Essential)
- Masters in a Health or research-related field. (Essential)
- Minimum 3 years research-related experience. (Essential)
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
- Understanding of clinical research design,
guidelines and standards. (Essential)
- Research Coordination experience. (Essential)
- Experience conducting literature reviews and using reference management software. (Essential)
- Qualitative research knowledge/experience. (Essential)
- Understanding of mixed methods research design and procedures. (Preferred)
- Experience with REB submissions in ROMEO. (Preferred)
- Experience building and administering surveys in REDCap. (Preferred)
- Knowledge translation experience/knowledge. (Preferred)
- Experience with protection of personal health information and privacy requirements. (Preferred)
- Experience in report writing, publication and communication briefs. (Preferred)
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office). (Essential)

L’Institut de recherche du CHEO a immédiatement besoin d’une coordonnatrice ou d’un coordonnateur de la recherche.
Nous sommes à la recherche d’une coordinatrice ou d’un coordonnateur de la recherche hautement motivé pour le centre de recherche en sciences infirmières, qui appuiera la réalisation de la stratégie de recherche en sciences infirmières du CHEO, de l’Institut de recherche (IR) du CHEO et de l’Université d’Ottawa. La ou le titulaire de ce poste aura la responsabilité de coordonner plusieurs études et projets de recherche. Ses tâches comprennent les suivantes: gestion des études, collecte et analyse de données primaires, préparation de présentations pour le Comité d’éthique de la recherche (CER), réalisation de recherches documentaires et de résumés, soutien aux demandes de subvention et aux publications, liaison avec les chercheuses, les chercheurs et les membres de l’équipe, augmentation de la visibilité de la recherche dirigée par le personnel infirmier au moyen de plateformes internes et externes, et d’autres tâches liées à la recherche.
PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS
Relevant de la chercheuse scientifique en sciences infirmières, la personne retenue effectuera ce qui suit:
- Apporter son aide dans le cadre des études et des projets de recherche.
- Participer à l’élaboration des protocoles.
- Effectuer des tâches en lien avec le CER ou les demandes de subvention et les révisions.
- Être responsable du suivi et de la mise à jour auprès de tous les CER.
- Aider à la collecte et à l’analyse de données.
- Effectuer des recherches documentaires et résumer les renseignements pertinents.
- Organiser et mener des sondages dans REDCap.
- Faire le suivi des publications, des présentations pour des conférences, et des prix.
- Contribuer à la préparation de rapports de recherche, de publications, d’affiches et de présentations pour des conférences.
- Effectuer diverses tâches administratives liées à la recherche en cours (p.ex.traiter les paiements dans Workday).
- Coordonner, organiser et présider des réunions de recherche pertinentes.
- Préparer, en collaboration avec l’équipe de communications de l’IR du CHEO, des messages pour les médias sociaux, qui portent sur les activités, les résultats et l’incidence du centre de recherche en sciences infirmières.
