Make a meaningful impact with Taproot Community Support Services as a Disability Services Worker. Support adults in leading fulfilling lives through community inclusion and personal development. This full time position involves facilitating education and development programs for individuals in service. As a Disability Services Worker, you'll be responsible for providing behavioral, emotional, and social support in residential settings and the community. Utilize your skills in crisis intervention, medication administration, and documentation while building relationships with clients, families, and the community. Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals with daily household tasks
Implement individual care plans effectively
Manage crises and provide de-escalation techniques
Administer medications and first aid when required
Document client observations and communications Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 or relevant diploma/degree
1 year experience with developmental disabilities
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
Ability to provide personal care and perform physical tasks
