Join Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe’iyewigamig as a Casual Client Support Worker to provide healing support in Kenora. This position focuses on assisting Indigenous clients in supportive housing with holistic care approaches. In this role, you will work irregular hours while assisting clients in their healing journey, focusing on their personal goals and self-sufficiency. Your responsibilities will include group session facilitation, hands-on activities, and documentation preparation, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the community. A deep understanding of Indigenous culture and health practices is critical for effectively supporting clients. Key Responsibilities:
Guide clients in Journey Planning and goal achievement
Educate clients on resource navigation
Help clients access addiction and mental health services
Document client progress and maintain accountability
Ensure a protected and clean workplace for clients Requirements:
Minimum OSSD or equivalent education
Experience in health care settings preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with Indigenous health and values
