Be a key advocate for families with McMan Calgary & Area as a Family Support Worker. This 12-month contract role includes in-home supports, goal planning, and crisis management. As a Family Support Worker, you will provide crucial assistance through home visits, counselling, and community advocacy for families facing complex needs. Your background in social work or psychology combined with hands-on experience with diverse families will be significant in fostering positive changes. Your ability to work independently coupled with crisis management skills will enhance family well-being. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct home visits to support families in need
Collaborate in goal planning and crisis intervention
Provide advocacy and effective referrals to services
Ensure accurate documentation and utilizing assessment tools
Be available for on-call support during evenings/weekends Requirements:
Degree/diploma in Social Work or related discipline
Minimum of three years’ direct family support experience
Knowledge of cultural and socio-economic family dynamics
Experience with mental health and social services
