We are looking for an experienced Backend API Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for mobile applications built on React Native. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in Node.js, RESTful APIs, cloud technologies, and integration with enterprise systems.

Client: Consulting

Location: Toronto, 2 days a week onsite

Contract Duration: 6 months, renewable

Rate: 60/hr Incorp

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.

• Robust proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with API security, OAuth, JWT, and API Gateway.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of React Native mobile application architecture and integration patterns.
