Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic invites applications for the position of:

TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

ST THERESA 0.2 FTE

SK/Grade 1 (Fridays)

Effective immediately,

and not to extend beyond June 30, 202 7

Mandatory Requirements:

- Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division

Preferred Requirements:

- Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above division
- Facilitate synchronous and asynchronous learning and instruction with students and effective communication with parents
- Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum, the Ontario Kindergarten Program (2016) and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
- Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents




- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
- Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
- Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school setting would be an asset
- Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset
