Step into a key role at ALS Geochemistry as a Sample Preparation Technician (P3). Prepare client samples for analysis in a supportive, protected workplace with strong teamwork at the heart of our operations. ALS is seeking a dedicated Sample Preparation Technician to work independently within the Sample Preparation Department. This position requires expertise in sample preparation tasks, including sieving and crushing, alongside maintaining safety protocols. You will also mentor recent employees while ensuring analytical quality throughout all processes. Key Responsibilities:
Perform ringing, sieving, and crushing of samples
Load and unload drying ovens regularly
Maintain accurate production logs and assist with layout tasks
Perform general cleaning duties for lab cleanliness
Handle special requests and problem-solving internally Requirements:
Minimum 6 months experience in minerals laboratory
Forklift certification or driving experience an asset
Good organizational skills and teamwork ability
Basic English communication and computer skills
