You will learn from Infrastructure Specialists while supporting housing inspection services aimed at enhancing Indigenous communities. This internship also involves preparing documentation and insights into compliance with the Ontario Building Code, paving the way for a future as a certified building inspector. Key Responsibilities:
Shadow inspections for CMHC First Nation Housing Programs
Document detailed inspections to ensure reporting accuracy
Assist in reviews of housing plans for compliance
Provide technical support during inspections of community facilities
Conduct research on emerging industry best practices Requirements:
College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or similar
Working knowledge of building codes is beneficial
Experience with First Nations organizations is highly valuable
Independent and team-oriented approach to tasks
