This part-time position allows for flexible working hours while making a community impact. Located at the Steve & Sally Stavro Family YMCA in Toronto, this position will engage you in teaching and examining aquatic courses. With the necessary certifications, you’ll develop lesson plans and respond to emergencies, while coaching participants to excel in their learning. Your interpersonal skills will be key in building rapport and encouraging community involvement. Key Responsibilities:
Instruct lifesaving courses while ensuring safety compliance
Evaluate participants according to established criteria
Create engaging lesson plans tailored to various learning styles
Mentor participants for successful outcomes
Collaborate in community programs and special events Requirements:
Current certifications in Lifesaving Society awards required
Previous lifesaving instruction experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid organizational abilities and attention to detail
