Become a crucial part of the geriatric care team as a part time MHSU Clinician. Leverage your mental health expertise to provide comprehensive support to elderly clients in the community.Reporting to the Geriatric Program Coordinator, you will support a multidisciplinary team aimed at improving the mental health of older adults. Your role will focus on assessments, treatment planning, and effective education for caregivers. You’ll advocate for elderly clients and ensure they access necessary community services, fostering a compassionate approach to mental health care.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychosocial assessments and treatment planning
Facilitate education for families and caregivers
Provide ongoing client monitoring and documentation
Coordinate with community agencies for client services
Support the interdisciplinary team through collaborationRequirements:
Master's degree in a relevant health discipline
Minimum 1 year experience in geriatric mental health
Class 5 BC Driver's Licence required
Excellent communication abilities
