Tim Hortons in Sidney, BC is hiring a Baker to join their team at 2343 Beacon Avenue. This is a full-time position at $18.25/hour for 40 hours per week, working in a bake shop and café environment.

Food Specialties:

Breads and rolls, Desserts and pastries, Donuts and muffins

Key Responsibilities:

- Bake mixed dough and batters to produce fresh breads, rolls, donuts, muffins, desserts, and pastries
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
- Prepare special orders as requested
- Supervise 1 to 2 baking personnel and kitchen staff
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and safe handling of food
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies
- Organize and maintain kitchen inventory
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Ensure product quality consistently meets established standards

Requirements:

- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in baking or food preparation
- No degree, certificate or diploma required




- Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
- Ability to distinguish between colours
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Dependable, reliable, accurate, and a team player

Work Conditions:

Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, physically demanding, standing for extended periods.

Schedule:

Shifts including early morning, morning, day, evening, night, and weekends.
