Be an integral part of the Sociology Department as a Graduate Research Assistant focusing on the St. Dunstan Industrial School's history in Calgary, Alberta. Engage in critical archival research and historical documentation efforts. This casual position under the supervision of Dr. Apooyak’ii and Tiffany Hind Bull-Prete is aimed at conducting thorough historical research for the St. Dunstan Industrial School project. Responsibilities include reviewing archival records, transcribing documents, and identifying key figures and events related to the school's history. This role is instrumental in gathering knowledge of the site's historical background. Key Responsibilities:
Examine archival records to support research objectives
Accurately transcribe historical documents for analysis




Identify and document individuals associated with the school
Perform comprehensive historical research for the project
Collaborate with supervising faculty on research tasks Requirements:
Current enrollment in a graduate program in Sociology
Proven skills in research and document transcription
Detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks
Capable of independent work as well as collaboration
