Reporting directly to the Manager Surgical Services, this role demands an experienced Registered Nurse to assess and care for patients transitioning out of anesthesia. Candidates should possess significant experience in PACU and ongoing commitment to skilled growth. Foster a culture of safety and excellence in patient care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and assess patient conditions post-surgery
• Implement therapeutic measures for effective recovery
• Use Cerner applications for record-keeping
• Engage with patients and families in communication
• Support adherence to safety protocols in care
Requirements:
• Active Ontario College of Nurses registration
• 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Completed relevant nursing courses (PACU)
• Solid leadership and decision-making skills
• Proven focus on patient safety and team collaboration
