Job Description

Tallman Truck Centre Limited is looking for a Service Advisor for our Oshawa location

Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for scheduling service repair work in a busy service department and following the progress of repairs throughout the day.

Job Responsibilities:
Answers telephone, coordinates incoming inquiries, and schedules appointments.
Schedules shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy.
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customer and suppliers
Opens, processes, and closes daily repair orders.




Communicates carefully and completely with the next shift advisor by an agreed-upon method (i.e.Email, notes, verbally) re: status of shop.
Ensures an overall protected work setting for all personnel and works in compliance with OHSA standards.
Check on progress of repairs and contact customers regarding changes in estimate or promised time

Required Skills & Knowledge:
Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in Heavy Truck or Automotive Industry is preferred/asset
Valid G Driver’s License
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills – ADP/CDK and Microsoft Office experience an asset
Qualified and positive attitude with strong customer focus.
Highly motivated individual and ability to work in a fast paced work environment
