Lead policy advocacy for First Nations as a Policy and Intergovernmental Relations Officer in Winnipeg, MB. This full time position emphasizes strategic planning, policy analysis, and robust government relations.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief of Staff, coordinating policy initiatives and supporting informed decision-making. The role requires a high standard of research and analysis to respond to emerging issues and prospects within governmental frameworks.

Your collaboration across departments is essential in advancing the organization's mandate.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the organization’s Strategic Plan
Analyze the effects of legislation on First Nations
Foster relationships with government and Indigenous organizations




Prepare high-level briefing materials for executives
Monitor and report on organizational performance indicators

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred
Minimum five years in organizational planning or policy roles
Experience with Indigenous governance is a plus
Solid problem-solving and project management skills
High professionalism and integrity in all dealings

Help shape policies that enhance the representation and support of First Nations by applying your expertise in governance and intergovernmental relations.
