The Assistant Accountant role combines core duties of an accounting firm (approx. 70%) as well as admin support (30%) to the business!

Job Responsibilities:

- Interact professionally with clients
- Work independently and as part of a team in a quiet office
- Prepare year end and month end financial statements
- Record bookkeeping entries for clients on various types of software
- Prepare government forms for clients (T1, T2, HST, WSIB, etc)
- Maintain and monitor the office's to-do list and ensure projects are on track

Skills Desired:

- At least one year of work experience in accounting/bookkeeping/payroll
- Ability to recognize errors in a client's accounting records
- Excellent data entry and documentation skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Appropriate energy and enthusiasm for the job
- Ability to meet deadlines and possibly work extra hours to get the job done
- Willingness to learn, adapt,



and grow professionally
