Role Description The Beauty Advisor role is a part-time, on-site position based at the Shoppers Drug Mart store in Prince Albert, SK. In this role, the Beauty Advisor provides personalized beauty consultations, helping customers select cosmetics, skin care, and related products that match their needs and preferences.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering questions, demonstrating products, and supporting retail sales through informed recommendations and suggestive selling.

The Beauty

Advisor maintains tidy and visually appealing displays, monitors stock levels in the beauty department, and follows store policies and health and safety procedures. This role also involves staying current on new beauty trends and product launches,



collaborating with colleagues to ensure an excellent customer experience, and contributing to sales targets and promotional activities.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner and the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Cosmetology and skin care knowledge, including understanding of different skin types, product application techniques, and beauty trends.
- Retail sales experience, including handling transactions, working with point-of-sale systems, and achieving sales or performance goals.
- Product knowledge related to cosmetics, fragrances, skin care, and personal care items, with the ability to explain features and benefits clearly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively and make tailored recommendations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends), and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Previous experience in a beauty retail or salon setting is an asset; relevant certifications in cosmetology or esthetics are considered an advantage.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to Shoppers Drug Mart’s standards for customer care and professionalism.
