Casual Writing Tutor

Responsibilities
SUNTEP Saskatoon requires a writing tutor to support student needs. The tutor should have a robust grasp of grammar, sentence and essay construction in multiple disciplines -MLA, APA, and CMS. The tutor will assist student improvement with writing style, composition, essay writing, formatting essays, analytical analysis of literary forms, provisions of one on one and possibly group tutoring sessions, offering constructive feedback on written assignments, and helping students improve their writing skills in various subjects without the use of AI.
The assignment would involve being available upon request and /or making appointments to fit the tutor and student schedules.
Qualifications The candidate will have an undergraduate degree, preferably in English. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with indigenous student populations.
Term: September 21, 2026 to April 30, 2027 (Possibility of Renewal)
Remuneration: $40.00 per hour
Location: SUNTEP Saskatoon – McLean Hall – USASK Campus
