QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience Graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy.

Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Physiotherapist.

Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).

Three (3) years'' experience working with children who have severe/profound physical, cognitive and communication impairments.

Skills And Abilities Ability to independently organize and plan treatment programs, set priorities, and to work with parents and other professional disciplines as part of a team.

Ability to train and monitor others to deliver PT recommendations.

Ability to be perceptive to the needs of children and families and able to act accordingly with tact, patience, and optimism.





Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral English, preferably with word processing skills.

Ability to interact effectively with children with disabilities, families, fellow employees, and the general public.

Ability to use initiative and exercise positive professional judgment.

Knowledge of group processes and ability to apply facilitation techniques.

Ability to operate related equipment.

Physical and emotional ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Travel is a requirement of the position.

Travel arrangements must meet the requirements of the program.
