Pay rate range: $ 61.00 - $ 64.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience Role: Cross Border Data Clearance (CBDC) Specialist Position Objective: The Cross Border Data Clearance (CBDC) Specialist is an execution-focused role within the Enterprise Data Office (EDO).

This position is dedicated to supporting the successful delivery and operationalization of Client''s Cross Border Data Clearance (CBDC) Standard in EDO which entails data collection from stakeholders within and outside EDO, drafting procedures, retrieving historical clearances, executing periodic CBDC controls, preparing data transfer submissions and tracking them until closure.

This is a highly collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented role designed to provide critical execution support within a tight timeline.

The role will look to automate a highly manual complex process through the use of AI.

Responsibilities: Support workstream leads in researching CBDC operational best practices from other Client business sectors to help optimize EDO processes.

Assist in mapping detailed operational process flows and identifying process trigger points that require CBDC clearances.

Draft, format, and refine the EDO s internal CBDC procedures.

Deliver and track training completion of target audience in EDO.

Execute periodic CBDC controls, escalate any gaps identified, and resolve those gaps.

Collect data from stakeholders within and outside EDO, retrieving historical clearances, prepare data transfer submissions for approval.





Track submissions through the multi-stage approval workflow, addressing inquiries and accelerating outstanding clearances.

Organize and package all final approved clearances, process approvals, and control execution records into structured, audit-ready documents.

Negotiate and resolve conflicts, building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups to drive project success.

Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Privacy, Compliance, Operational Risk, and/or business analysis within a large financial institution.

Prior experience within Client is highly preferred.

Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power

Point proficiency is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills to interface with diverse stakeholders (including Enterprise Data Office, Internal Audit, Independent Quality Assurance, Data Transfer Office, and Risk & Controls) and coordinate deliverables across different streams.

Execution Focus - A practical ''get-things-done'' attitude, comfortable operating as a delivery resource (''maker'') taking direction from multiple leads.

Extremely organized, motivated, analytical, and detail oriented.

Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting cross-border data transfer assessments, regulatory compliance initiatives, data governance programs, or privacy risk management activities.

Understanding of data residency requirements, lawful transfer mechanisms, consent management, and confidentiality obligations.

Experience working with global regulatory frameworks governing data handling, sharing, retention, and cross-border transfers.

Ability to identify control gaps, conduct root cause analysis, recommend remediation actions, and support issue resolution.

Ability to leverage AI to introduce efficiencies Education: Bachelor''s/University degree
