Role Description The Plumbing Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC, responsible for overseeing plumbing crews on multi-family residential and commercial construction projects. This role includes planning daily work activities, assigning tasks, monitoring installation quality, and ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and local codes.
The Plumbing
Supervisor coordinates with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to maintain schedules and resolve field issues. Day-to-day responsibilities also include reviewing drawings, inspecting completed work, managing materials and tools,
and supporting commissioning activities. The role requires guiding and mentoring team members, addressing customer and stakeholder concerns professionally, and contributing to a culture of safety, efficiency, and quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task coordination, and performance oversight.
- Candidates should possess solid plumbing skills, including installation, troubleshooting, and interpretation of plumbing codes and drawings.
- Candidates should possess a focus on customer satisfaction and customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively with owners, contractors, and consultants.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems and an understanding of how plumbing integrates with other building services.
- Relevant trade certification or Red Seal qualification in plumbing, along with experience in multi-family residential and commercial construction.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, familiarity with local regulations, and ability to enforce safe work practices.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to read and interpret technical documentation and construction plans.
- Experience in supervising crews on high-rise or large-scale projects is an asset.
