Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with experience in Selenium automation, API testing, Agile delivery, and banking applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong testing fundamentals, excellent communication skills,
and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Perform API testing and validation using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Scrum teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Create and maintain test cases, test data, and test execution reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing standards.
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience in Selenium Automation Testing
- Robust experience with Cucumber (BDD Framework)
- Experience in API Testing (REST/SOAP)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Banking/Financial Services domain experience
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle
- Experience in Test Case Design and Test Execution
- Knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End Testing
- Proficiency in defect management and reporting tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting,
and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with API automation tools such as Rest Assured or Postman
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing
- Exposure to test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or ALM
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Exposure to performance or security testing concepts
- Knowledge of payments, cards, retail banking, lending, or capital markets applications
- ISTQB or other testing certifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
